Distorted began in Florida as a small project to highlight underground artists who weren’t getting the recognition they deserved. Over time, it’s grown into a platform that reclaims the word “distorted” and flips its meaning. For us, distortion isn’t about twisting truth — it’s about bending the rules, breaking down boxes, and reshaping how culture looks at music. We cover indie, rap, alt, R&B, and more, while also bringing faith-driven voices into the mix, because music doesn’t need to exist in separate worlds to matter. While our coverage spans artists from everywhere, our live scene roots are firmly in Florida, where we continue to document and uplift the community that shaped us.
