BE PREPARED TO BE THROWN BACK IN TIME: ELLIOT JAMES REAY BRINGS 50S-INSPIRED SOUND TO FLORIDA
“Be prepared to be thrown back in time,” says Elliot James Reay, the 22-year-old from Bury, England who’s bringing his old-school energy to Florida this weekend. Added to Benson Boone’s tour, Reay will open the shows in Tampa (Sept. 13), Miami (Sept. 14) and Orlando (Sept. 16), offering Florida fans a chance to experience his timeless sound live.
Raised on Elvis and Tom Jones, Reay found his lane busking at his hometown market as a teenager. Singing for an older crowd made him fall in love with ’50s and ’60s music — a passion that now shapes his debut EP All This To Say I Love You. He blends classic melodies and vintage style with modern lyrics and touches, creating a show that feels nostalgic but fresh.
Florida audiences can expect movement, dancing and plenty of foot-tapping. “I’m trying to bring back a vibe of old-school music and a feeling that maybe people have forgotten,” he says. After the tour he plans to finish his first album and hopes to return for his own U.S. run next year. Don’t miss the chance to see Elliot James Reay’s timeless sound live as he opens for Benson Boone in Tampa, Miami and Orlando this weekend.
